Battle Management Software (BMS) Department in Ft. Wayne IN is looking to hire a Software Engineer to be part of the Command and Control (C2) Software development/maintenance team.

What You Will Do

• Be part of a successful team creating high-performance applications and be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Design develop test deliver and maintain software for a large scale software development effort.
• Work with talented teams of engineers architects and leaders in an Agile environment.
• Functional analysis of real world and test data
• Collaboration with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter.

What You Will Learn

• A breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques including multi-tiered architectures.
• Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
• Software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
• Experience developing software using Java/C/Ada.

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Experience in OO and scripting languages
• Experience with developing testing and integrating software using Java / C or modern software development language.
• Software development lifecycle experience using an Agile methodology.
• Experience across the product development life cycle.
• Well developed communications skills and team collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Proven ability and desire to facilitate career growth and knowledge transfer.
• Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues.
• Familiarity with MS Office.

The salary range for this role is 57200 USD - 108800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
