Description:

Position Purpose

The Security and Transportation Officer ensures the safety and well-being of St. Joseph of the Pines residents visitors staff and this role you will uphold the organizations Pillars of Values: People Growth Quality Service and Financial stewardship. As a trusted team member youll deliver excellent service while providing secure transportation to appointments shopping and community activities.

What You Will Do

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment on campus.

  • Transport residents in a company vehicle to scheduled appointments and activities.

  • Assist residents with mobility challenges ensuring their comfort and safety during transportation.

  • Maintain the vehicle by performing routine cleaning preventative maintenance and refueling.

  • Collaborate with staff and residents to coordinate transportation schedules.

  • Respond to safety concerns promptly and professionally fostering a calm and welcoming environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Valid license and must have a safe driving record.

  • Medical First Responder Class or CENA license preferred.

  • Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred.

  • Must possess superior customer service skills and professionalism

  • Must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to adapt to ongoing change and work in a fast-paced customer-driven environment.

  • Possesses interpersonal and relationship building skills to work in a cross-functional team as well as the ability to work with residents based on their cognitive ability.

  • Possesses a high degree of personal accountability responsibility and strong decision-making abilities

  • Must possess the ability to plan organize develop implement and interpret programs goals objectives policies and procedures of the organization

  • Able to transfer residents on and off bus and into appointments or other destinations as
