Job Summary: The Psychiatric/CPEP Registered Nurse provides focused nursing care to patients presenting with acute psychiatric and behavioral health needs. This role supports patient stabilization safety and coordination of care within a comprehensive psychiatric emergency setting.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric assessments and ongoing monitoring of patients in crisis.
Administer medications and implement behavioral health interventions as ordered.
Maintain a safe therapeutic environment and apply de-escalation techniques when needed.
Collaborate with psychiatrists social workers and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care plans.
Document nursing assessments interventions and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience Required
Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience Required
CPI or PMCS certification Required
EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
SEL and SCR forms required for onboarding
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required
Certifications
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
CPI or PMCS Certification Required
License: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License Required
