Remote work is acceptable. Candidates living in or near Florida are preferred. Travel to Juno Beach FL will be required with more frequent visits during the first 3 6 months in the role.

Position Description

Seeking a Project Engineer supporting solar farm design and this position you will be responsible for managing 3rd party contractor teams to develop engineering designs for solar projects. Project engineering responsibilities span from initial concept definition to construction and final commissioning and require continuous coordination with diverse project stakeholders such as environmental procurement transmission services and project managers for both early stage and construction.

A successful candidate will have experience applying value engineering to balance reliability cost and performance for complex systems along with thorough knowledge of the various applicable engineering disciplines including electrical structural civil and materials. A successful candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills along with a record of coordinating project stakeholders and mobilizing teams of engineers to achieve business objectives. A preferred candidate will have experience successfully managing schedules and budgets for major capital projects.

Education

• Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Engineering (required)
• Discipline may include electrical civil mechanical aerospace or chemical engineering

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience (exceptions may be made for strong matches with less experience)
• Engineering and project management experience on utility-scale solar projects is preferred
• Engineering and project management experience in the following areas may also be considered:
  • DG / commercial solar
  • Other power industry technologies: wind BESS combined cycle nuclear hydrogen substation transmission etc.
  • Strong candidates with experience outside the power industry (aerospace civil/stormwater etc.)
• Excellent communication leadership and project management skills

Travel Requirement

Remote work is permitted; however candidates must be willing to travel periodically to the Juno Beach office with more frequent travel required during the first 3 6 months as the candidate transitions into the role.
