Job Summary
We are hiring a Registered Nurse II-Nurse Consultant for one of our clients in Trenton NJ.
Job Description:
The Childhood Lead Program (CLP) has an opportunity for a nurse consultant with experience training education and expertise in or related to nurse case management activities. Under the direction of the Program Coordinator the Nurse Consultant will be responsible for including but not limited to providing information concerning Childhood Lead case management to local health departments nurse case managers using the regulations NJAC 8:51 and NJAC 8:51A; participates in planning/conducting training programs and other forms of education for nursing personnel; and reviewing grantee progress reports. Participates with program coordinators and other staff members in program planning and in the development/maintenance of department standards/procedures in nursing. Participates in preparing/revising education materials including guides/manuals for use by nurses.
The Nurse Consultant will closely work with the team members on assigned projects related to data quality and environmental inspections. The candidate will be required to learn to utilize the database system for Childhood Lead cases. The successful candidate will have experience in case management strong communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Preference will be given to those candidates who have experience in childhood lead poisoning and prevention.
Skills Required:
- Appointee must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse.
- Childhood Lead Database Excel Word.
Education & Experience Required:
- A bachelors degree is a minimum requirement with a masters degree preferred.
- Case management strong communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Work hours:
- 8:00am-4:00pm
- Lunch period: 12:00pm-1:00pm (unpaid)
