Job Summary/Description:

The #1 CBS affiliate in Floridas capital city has a rare opening for an anchor/MMJ to join the team that leads the best news coverage in the region. The right candidate is a seasoned newsroom leader an eager coach and mentor a talented storyteller and possesses a heart for community service projects. The ideal candidate will embrace a digital-first mindset and be able to contribute content through our streaming desk.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Anchors our traditional broadcasts and our digital streaming newscasts
- Works with co-anchors and producers to ensure story selection and quality of broadcast are clean compelling and consistent
- Demonstrates ability to connect with viewers and the community both on and off the desk
- Generates story ideas
- Can shoot write and edit stories for broadcast and digital
- Contributes content to digital platforms
- Build local contacts and relationships
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years anchoring and reporting in a commercial newsroom
- Non-linear editing experience
- Degree in journalism
- A valid drivers license good driving record and proof of insurability
