Job Summary
Tidewell Hospice a member of Empath Health is currently seeking a compassionate caring and committed Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team!
Scheduled workdays are Saturday through Monday 9:00 a.m.9:30 p.m. The role is field-based primarily covering Manatee and Sarasota Counties with travel required across the entire service area.
The Admissions RN is a first responder who assesses eligibility for Empath Health Network of Care while advocating for optimal access to the right care at the right time in any care setting. The Admissions RN completes the admission process based on care program specifics guidelines and patient-specific needs. The RN exhibits passion for the services we offer also while engaging in mission support and portrays excellence in customer service and relationship building internally and externally.
The successful applicant will coordinate patient admissions in patient homes long-term care facilities hospitals assisted-living facilities and hospice houses.
Position Requirements:
- Education and/or Experience: Associates degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Minimum of or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensure: Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse; Valid Florida State Drivers License
- Continuing Education: As required for licensure
- Certifications: Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- For field-based positions employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance a copy of which will be placed in the employees HR file.
