Job Summary/Description:
WCAX-TV is looking for a News Photographer/Editor. The job involves working with reporters or alone to produce news reports for TV broadcasts and digital platforms. We are looking for a professional with a strong interest in news and a zest for telling great stories through sound and images.
A successful applicant must be willing to work early morning or late evening hours work outside in all weather conditions and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Shooting and editing video for daily news stories.
- Pulling and editing video from feeds and other sources.
- Setting up and shooting live shots for news programs in all kinds of weather.
- Working with reporters producers and anchors to develop story ideas.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Required Skills & Experience:
- Advanced skills in video photography and familiarity with a range of professional video gear.
- Advanced skills in non-linear editing processes for video and audio in a daily news environment.
- An understanding of bonded cellular technology is preferred.
- A working knowledge of a Windows-based environment.
- The ability to carry 50 lbs of equipment.
