Canyon Vista Medical Center is located in the beautiful high desert of southeastern Arizona committed to serve residents in Sierra Vista Ft. Huachuca Cochise County a population of more than 131000 people and our surrounding communities. Were comfortably nestled in the San Pedro River Valley 75 miles southeast of Tucson. Canyon Vista Medical Center was founded in 1963 as Western Baptist Osteopathic Hospital on what was then the eastern edge of Sierra Vista. Growth and advancing technology dictated building our new 177000 square foot hospital at 5700 E Hwy 90 completed in 2015.
How youll contribute
The Social Worker assesses and plans interventions to assist patients and their families in coping with social emotional economic and environmental challenges related to acute illness and hospitalization. Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team the Social Worker conducts psychosocial assessments coordinates internal and external resources and facilitates safe and effective discharge planning. This role requires strong critical thinking independent judgment and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced high-stress clinical environment while ensuring compliance with treatment plans and regulatory standards.

What were looking for
Applicants should have
- Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred
- Board Certified Social Worker or related field (i.e. counseling) in the state where work is performed (CSW LPCA LCSW) within 6 months of hire
- Handle With Care within 30 days of hire
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
