WillowWood Global in Mesa AZ is looking to hire a full-time Layup Technician to work in a manufacturing environment that produces prosthetic feet and components used by amputees around the world. This is a first-shift position Monday - Friday with overtime as needed.
Summary:
This position is responsible for understanding and following all work instructions to provide production and quality control measures for prosthetic components. This associate will:
Composite Fabrication; create composite molded parts
Follow Traveler document instructions to lay up and configure composite laminates
Assemble and bond components and parts
Perform post-production processing: countersinking bonding and finishing by filing sanding grinding cleaning cutting deburring trimming and hand working materials
Maintain cycle time and pacing necessary for continuous and on-time material flow
Follow standard document procedures including filling out Travelers and initialing paperwork. Accurate and consistent manual and automatic data entry to ensure a complete and error-free materials and manufacturing history
Essential Skills Required:
The skills needed for this position are but not necessarily limited to the following:
- Composite experience (preferred but not required)
- Working ability to read understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Mechanically inclined experience in working with hand tools such as cutting tools and shaping tools
- Attention to detail and accuracy while working within fast-paced production environment
