Job Summary
Part-TimeElementary Teachers/Tutors Wanted
Oxford Learning Clayton Heightsiscurrently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for roles in our learning centre for the upcoming school year (2024-2025).If you love working with students enjoy teaching language skills and want to help others build their academic confidence this position is perfect for you.
Position Overview: As a Teacher-Tutor at Oxford Learning you will have the opportunity to work with Elementary students in reading writing math and French and/or withHigh Schoolstudents inmath (through Calculus) physics chemistry biology and English. Our Teacher-Tutors do not have to worry about lesson planning as all lessons are pre-planned. You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods allowing you to focus on what you do best teaching!
Position Requirements
- Availability during after-school and evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
- Commitmentthrough tothe end of the 2025 school year (June 30th) with thepossibility ofcontinuing through the summer
- In-person instruction
- No relocation package provided
- Ability to commute to the designated location
- Mandatory vulnerable sector screening
Education:
- Some post secondary preferred
Experience:
- Some experience teaching/tutoring
- Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students understanding
- The ability to teach French is also highly desired
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
Responsibilities:
As an Interactive Coach you will:
- Teach up to 3 students at a time
- Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times (create a fun learning environment)
