Summary

Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has no direct reports
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare general ledger entries bymaintainingrecords and files; reconciling accounts.
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Preparation and analysis ofall accountsincluding the required journal entries accruals and other adjustments forall balance sheet and income statement accountsfor assigned Brandsby the month-end close schedule deadlines.
Process and analyze financial transactions; verify andvalidatedata.
Complete assigned journal entries and account reconciliationsin accordance withmonthlyquarterlyand annual closingcalendars.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations; makeAccounting Leadershipaware of any discrepancies in need of resolutionona timelybasis.
Maintains the accuracy of the balance sheet and income statement assigned accounts on a US GAAP accrual basis.
Prepare detailed statements and reports for financial transactions of assigned Brands communicatetobrand leadershipandfinance leadership.
Prepare and explainvariance analysis and explanationon the monthlyquarterlyand annual internal and external reporting packages including forecasts and budgets asrequired.
Preparerequests fromoutside providers including auditors and tax professionals.
Ensure capable of being back-up for key activities as needed
Performs other duties as assigned orrequired.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines
- Proven ability to follow established procedures while identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial information and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Solid technical accounting expertise across multiple functional areas with a strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Ability to identify accounting issues exercise sound judgment and escalate matters appropriately to ensure timely resolution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with leadership and cross-functional partners
- Self-motivated team player who can work effectively both independently and collaboratively
- High level of personal initiative and a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced Excel skills (including formulas pivot tables and macros)
- Experience working in a multi-company and/or multi-location environment strongly preferred
- Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting systems preferred
- Ability to manage high-volume workloads during month-end quarter-end year-end close and budgeting cycles
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods throughout the workday
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- Public accounting experience and/or prior experience working with outside auditors is a plus
- Minimum 4-7 years of work experience
- CPA is preferred or CPA in progress
Physical and Workplace Requirements
- Light-duty work environment primarily office-based with minimal physical exertion.â
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.â
- Occasional standing or walking for presentations or facilitation.â
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs occasionally.â
- Hybrid model Work from the office on Tues/Wed/Thurs and from home on Mon/Fri.â
