Service Manager
Founded in 2003 Accel Air Systems is a leading provider of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) services to the San Francisco Bay Area Commercial Building Sector. The company is a mechanical contracting firm specializing in Maintenance Service Repair Retrofit and Construction. Accel Air Systems provides the technical expertise to consistently support a broad range of facilities including commercial office laboratories R&D industrial medical office data centers and manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Direct dispatch priorities and crew assignments; ensure timely communication to technicians and customers.
- Monitor work order lifecycle and resolve scheduling issues to maintain Service Level Agreement compliance.
- Monitor quality standards for troubleshooting repairs and execution.
- Verify technician certifications and enforce safe work practices (lockout/tagout fall protection etc.).
- Manage backlog/WIP health margin protection and invoice timeliness.
- Manage performance reviews workload leveling and training plans.
- Serve as escalation point for key accounts; resolve issues promptly.
- Use ERP/CMMS tools for scheduling documentation and analytics.
- Requirements:
- 5 8 years of service operations experience with 3 years leading technicians/dispatch or service teams.
- Process oriented Solid written verbal and customer service communication skills Multitasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook Word and Excel
- College degree (preferred but not required)
