We are urgently seeking a CNM 1 Theatre (General Surgery) for a hospital in Cork Ireland.
Contract-Maternity Leave Cover
Nurses will be required to work days nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical and professional leadership to nursing staff within the General Surgery Theatre.
Coordinate and manage the day-to-day running of the theatre ensuring safe efficient and high-quality patient care.
Act as a role model for best clinical practice and promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies HIQA standards infection prevention and control guidelines and NMBI standards.
Allocate staff and resources effectively to meet service demands.
Support supervise and appraise staff addressing performance training and development needs.
Collaborate with consultants anaesthetists and the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to clinical activity and staff management.
Requirements
Registered General Nurse with current registration on the NMBI Register.
Minimum of 3 years recent post-registration experience in an acute theatre setting including General Surgery.
Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing/Theatre Nursing is desirable.
Proven leadership organisational and decision-making skills.
Strong clinical competence with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development (CPD).
Knowledge of HIQA standards health and safety legislation and infection control practices.
