About the Opportunity
A fast-growing Medicaid-based home care agency serving Sedgwick County and surrounding areas is seeking an experienced and compassionate Administrator to oversee daily operations compliance staffing and client management. This role is ideal for a leader with strong knowledge of Kansas Medicaid HCBS waivers MCO processes (United Sunflower Healthy Blue Aetna) and home care regulatory requirements. The Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality service delivery operational excellence and continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations Management
Oversee all day-to-day operations of the home care agency
Manage caregiver staffing scheduling client placements and service delivery workflows
Supervise office staff care coordinators and field employees
Ensure all client care aligns with agency standards and RN-developed care plans
Maintain a positive supportive culture for caregivers and administrative staff
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
Ensure compliance with Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) regulations
Maintain adherence to HCBS waiver guidelines Medicaid documentation standards and MCO requirements
Oversee audits incident reporting corrective action plans and quality assurance measures
Ensure timely completion of assessments service authorizations and case management communication
Client & Family Relations
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients families and community partners
Address escalations complaints and service-related concerns with professionalism
Participate in client onboarding home visits and care plan reviews as needed
Business Development & Community Outreach
Strengthen relationships with MCOs case managers social workers hospitals and referral partners
Identify opportunities for agency growth within Derby Wichita and surrounding counties
Represent the agency at community events professional meetings and partner visits
Administrative & Financial Responsibilities
Oversee billing payroll approval and authorization accuracy
Monitor key financial indicators including service hours staffing levels and caseload growth
Collaborate with leadership on budgeting hiring needs and business strategy
Qualifications
3 years of leadership experience in home care healthcare administration or senior services
Strong understanding of Kansas Medicaid LTSS programs and HCBS waivers
Experience working with MCOs such as United Sunflower Healthy Blue and Aetna
Knowledge of KDADS regulations and home care compliance requirements
Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict-resolution skills
Strong organizational and management abilities
Ability to lead teams multitask and work independently
CNA HHA LPN RN or social services licensure a plus (not required)
Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration Social Services Business or related field preferred
