Responsibilities
The Licensed Electrologist performs permanent hair-removal services for a diverse patient population - with sensitivity to LGBTQA patients - using galvanic thermolysis and blend modalities. The role conducts consultations designs individualized treatment plans and maintains meticulous clinical records while upholding all California Board of Barbering & Cosmetology OSHA and HIPAA requirements. The Electrologist also contributes to clinic quality-improvement initiatives and stays current with emerging practices and regulations.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
Completion of a 600-hour board-approved electrology program required
Experience
1 year of paid experience performing electrolysis in a spa clinic or medical setting required
Licenses and Certifications
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
EL - California Electrologist License active and in good standing required
CPE - Certified Professional Electrologist credential preferred
