Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conducts assigned game according to procedure.
  • Exchanges cash for gaming chips according to procedure.
  • Informs the Floorperson of any requests or unusual play.
  • Issues to guests the proper amount of gaming chips after completion of the credit authorization procedures.
  • Acknowledges greets and converses with all guests offering assistance and information to anyone showing an interest in table game play.
  • Routinely strives to build and maintain a rapport with table games guests.
  • Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to Harrahs and encourages others to do the same.
  • Adhere to all department/company policies and procedures.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have dealing experience in Roulette and/or Craps.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have broad knowledge of casino rules regulations and procedures including good gaming security.
  • Previous guest service experience preferred.
  • Strong guest service orientation able to handle monetary transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Manual dexterity to handle numerous decks of cards and chips.
  • Able to add multiply divide and subtract accurately to figure payoffs.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.

JOB DEMANDS:

  • Lifts up to a maximum of 20 pounds and frequently lifts and/or carries objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Position requires 70% standing 10% sitting 20% walking.
  • Requires some kneeling stooping and reaching overhead; frequent climbing and very frequent bending pushing and twisting.
  • Position requires manual dexterity to deal and collect cards and chips.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced stressful environment.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing second hand smoke high noise levels bright lights and dust.
  • Must be able to respond to speech touch smell aural and visual cues.
