The River Hospitals Ambulatory SurgicalUnitis seeking a Registered Nurse to join their team to workas a PREMIUM Per Diem Registered Nurse.
Our Premium Per Diem Registered Nurses will be required to work a minimum of 4 shiftsper month and those shifts must include hard to fill shifts one weekend shift per schedule cycle and 2 holiday shifts per year (1 summer and 1 winter). Any coverage beyond that will require administrative approval from the Chief Nursing Officer. The range for this position will be a flat $50 - $55 hourly exact rate will be based on total years of licensure as a Registered Nurse. Job purpose
A clinically competent registered licensed nurse who provides immediate specialized emergency care with a multidisciplinary emergency medical service provider team. Must possess the basic and advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Qualifications - Valid and current registration New York State RN license
- At least 1 year direct perioperative pre/post-op and/or scrub/circulatory experience required.
- BLSACLS PALS certification within the first 60 days of hire. (free classes offered to employees onsite)
- Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care.
It is the employees responsibility to know the requirements for certification limited permit and licensure for their individual profession. It is also the responsibility of the employee to notify the employer of the status of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue. The employee will comply with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession.Working conditions and Physical requirements - Regular day evening night and weekend shifts.
- OSHA Category A potential for exposure to blood and other infectious body substances.
- Bending lifting standing walking must possess the physical ability to perform CPR.
