Job Summary

Job Title: School Psychologist (K12)
Location: Columbia SC 29229
Duration: 40 Weeks
Schedule: Full-Time 37.5 Hours per Week
Shift: Day Shift MondayFriday
Hours: 7:00 AM 2:30 PM

Work Arrangement:

  • Preferred: Full-Time On-Site (Face-to-Face)

  • Open To: Hybrid (3 days on-site / 2 days remote)

Note: This schedule is non-negotiable. Candidates seeking fully remote roles or fewer than three on-site days will not be considered.

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support K12 students in a collaborative school environment. This role focuses on promoting academic achievement social-emotional development and overall student well-being through assessment intervention and consultation.

Key Responsibilities

Psycho-Educational Assessment

  • Conduct comprehensive culturally responsive psycho-educational evaluations

  • Administer score and interpret cognitive academic social-emotional and behavioral assessments

IEP / 504 Collaboration

  • Participate as an active member of multidisciplinary teams

  • Determine special education eligibility

  • Develop implement and monitor IEPs and 504 Plans

  • Present assessment findings and recommendations to parents and school staff

Intervention & Counseling

  • Provide individual and group counseling services

  • Address mental health behavioral and social-emotional needs including anxiety attention challenges learning difficulties and conflict resolution

Consultation & Collaboration

  • Consult with parents teachers administrators and support staff

  • Support evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions

  • Assist with classroom management strategies and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

Crisis Response

  • Participate in crisis prevention and intervention efforts

  • Conduct risk assessments including threat and suicide risk evaluations

  • Support post-crisis recovery efforts

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Collect analyze and interpret assessment and progress-monitoring data

  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives such as MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support)

Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation

  • Ensure compliance with federal South Carolina state and district special education regulations and ethical standards

Required Qualifications

  • Current valid School Psychologist certification/license in South Carolina

  • Masters Specialist (Ed.S./Psy.S.) or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program

  • Experience working with K12 student populations

  • Ability to work 37.5 hours per week with a minimum of 3 on-site days

  • Strong communication collaboration and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with diverse K12 populations

  • Familiarity with South Carolina school district procedures and resources

  • Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential
