*Part Time- 20-29 hours week. Must be willing to cover Frisco Carrollton and Plano locations*

Must be free to work:

Mon-Thurs 7am-7pm
Fri- 7am-4pm

Dynamic Outpatient Orthopedic Rehabilitation Clinic treating post-surgical and musculoskeletal conditions with an experienced team of PTs PTAs and OT/Hand Therapists. Opportunity for new PTs to enhance their skills with experienced PTs and for seasoned PTs to mentor newer Therapists and/or serve as Clinical Instructors for PT Students in rotation. Collaborative approach with ease of access for coordination with referring clinical staff. Robust compensation package including CEU allowance and Incentive program. #OTX

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Assesses patients and develops treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other clinicians.
Compile rehabilitation strategies to involve specific exercises to stretch and strengthen muscles as well as to improve posture balance and endurance.
Document progress re-evaluate physical findings and modify treatment strategies as appropriate.
Work as a team with a variety of other professionals including physicians to set a goal of reaching maximal patient functional independence.
Assists in restoring maintaining and promoting overall fitness and health.
Tests and measures patients strength range of motion balance and coordination posture muscle performance respiration and motor function.
Record prognosis treatment response and progress in patients chart.
Identify and document goals anticipated progress and plans for re-evaluation.
Administer manual exercises massage or traction to help relieve pain increase patient strength or decrease or prevent deformity or crippling.
Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
Test and measure patients strength motor development and function sensory perception functional capacity or respiratory or circulatory efficiency and record data.
May use electrical stimulation hot packs cold compresses ultrasound and other PT interventions to relieve pain and reduce swelling.
Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
Teaches patients how to use assistive and adaptive devices such as crutches prostheses and wheelchairs.
Provide educational information about physical therapy or physical therapists injury prevention ergonomics or ways to promote health.
Evaluate fit or adjust prosthetic or orthotic devices or recommend modification to orthotist.
Supervise tech or physical therapy assistants that may be assisting.
May be required to attend monthly/annual staff or facility meetings.

Requirements

Education:Bachelors degree in physical therapy from accredited program; successful completion of clinical internship. Masters degree in physical therapy preferred.

Experience:New Grads and Experienced welcome.

Other Requirements:Current state physical therapist license. Current CPR certificate. Any required CEUs for license renewal
