What Youll Do:
The banquet is a complex function requiring someone to coordinate and supervise multiple teams of associates in order for the event to be a success. As the Banquet Captain you will ensure ground level operations for any event run smoothly.
Here are just a few of the tasks youll be completing regularly:
- Coordinate with banquet staff set-ups changes and time schedules for all functions
- Check room set-up to see that Banquet Event Order directions are completely followed. Ensure that all public areas are neat and clean.
- Operate as a banquet server when needed; setting up greeting and serving the guest and breaking down the function.
- Inspect banquet areas at the end of the function to ensure all equipment is returned to its proper area and all areas are clean.
- Where Youve Been:
Were looking for someone with at least a high school diploma and at least one year working in F & B. Most importantly youre someone who can remain calm under pressure all while communicating and coordinating associates in a positive and professional manner.
When Youre Here:
This probably goes without saying but youll be on your feet a lot. There will be occasions when you may be carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds walking bending/twisting climbing stairs and working on slippery floors. You also must be able to accommodate varying schedules including nights weekends and holidays.
