Location: Gurnee IL 60031
Contract Duration: 12 Weeks
Pay Rate: $45$50 per hour
Schedule & Shift
Shift: Day Shift MondayFriday
Daily Hours: 7.5 hours per day
Shift Time: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 37.5 billable hours
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a qualified School Social Worker for a temporary leave coverage assignment at an intermediate school in Gurnee Illinois. This role focuses on providing direct student services collaborating with school staff and families and supporting a positive inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual and group counseling services to students
Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments
Develop and implement intervention plans and student support strategies
Collaborate with teachers administrators families and support staff
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school state and federal guidelines
Support students in developing coping problem-solving and social skills
Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions
Advocate for students academic social and emotional needs
Required Qualifications
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker Endorsement
Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams
Knowledge of school-based interventions IEP processes and student support services
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a school or educational setting
Experience supporting intermediate or middle schoolaged students
