Job Summary:
The MaintenanceManager is responsible for and supervises the maintenance care and efficientoperation of all equipment and facilities used by the organization.
SupervisoryResponsibilities:
Hires and trainsmaintenance department staff.
Organizes andoversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.
Conducts performanceevaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles disciplineand termination of employees as needed and in accordance with companypolicy.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Managesthe day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
Evaluatessystems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to beperformed.
Assessesbuilding systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
Developsmaintenance procedures and schedules in the designated system.
Ensuresmaintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
Assistswith departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
Maintainsthe inventory storage and distribution of equipment.
Providesrecommendations for purchases of new equipment.
Managescapex for the facilities equipment.
Performsother related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Extensive equipment knowledge of electrical hydraulicspneumatics PLC as it relates to equipment and processes.
Able to read and analyze drawings and electricalschematics.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that areneeded.
Ability to plan maintenance schedules for buildingsystems.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associatesor Bachelors degree preferred.
At least five years of maintenance management experiencerequired.
Experience using Maintenance Management Software.
Experience in mobile equipment maintenance (diesel) aplus.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to traverse property and facility todiagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
Must be able to access all parts of the companyequipment.
Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on acomputer.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
