Credit Repo Strategist – VP

The role involves quantitative analysis programming and direct interaction with the trading desk to deliver scalable tooling and analytics to support trading within the Credit and EM repo business. You will be partnering with traders technology and other stakeholders to drive innovation in risk pricing and resource management and optimisation. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong technical foundations and keen interest in financing markets within credit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quantitative tooling and analytics to support the Credit Repo trading business.
• Automate desk processes and streamline data workflows using Python and KDB.
• Work closely with traders to enhance real-time decision support provide custom solutions and optimise client flow.
• Collaborate with strats tech and other functions to drive innovation process improvements and facilitate efficient project delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Python (or similar); experience with KDB/SQL and comfortable with data handling.
• Proactive problem-solver with attention to detail and strong desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and rigorously with highly complex datasets and systems.
• Basic understanding of financial markets and interest in Credit and EM within fixed income.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
• Advanced degree (PhD Masters or equivalent) in quantitative field such as mathematics statistics physics computer science and engineering.
