SAP PMO Project Management Consultant

Key Responsibilities

PMO Governance & Project Management

• Support the overall program management in planning monitoring and controlling day-to-day project activities in the Explore and Realize phases.

• Manage project governance processes including status reporting RAID (Risks Actions Issues Decisions) logs SteerCo preparation and stakeholder management.

• Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology phase gates documentation standards and quality processes.

• Track project deliverables milestones dependencies and critical path across global and local rollout workstreams.

• Establish and maintain PMO frameworks templates and standardized reporting structures.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the central point of coordination between functional streams (FI CO SD MM PP etc.) technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Organize and facilitate project meetings workshops status reviews and decision-making forums.

• Support communication plans change management alignment and leadership updates.

S/4HANA Template Rollout & Upgrade Support

• Assist in planning and tracking activities specific to the S/4HANA upgrade from 1909 to 2303 including testing cycles regression testing defect management and cutover preparation.

• Coordinate global template harmonization efforts and ensure local market readiness.

• Monitor integration points data migration activities and test execution milestones.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

• Ensure high-quality project documentation across functional and technical teams.

• Conduct PMO audits compliance checks and quality gates for all streams.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation repositories ensuring version control and traceability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7 12 years of experience in Project Management / PMO roles ideally within SAP S/4HANA transformation or global rollout programs.

• Strong knowledge of SAP Activate methodology project governance and enterprise PMO practices.

• Prior experience in SAP S/4HANA upgrade projects (or similar) is highly beneficial.

• Experience coordinating multi-country or global template rollout programs.

• Excellent RAID management documentation structuring and reporting capabilities.

• Strong communication stakeholder management and leadership support skills.

• Ability to work in multicultural environments and manage distributed teams.

• Fluent English required; German language competency is preferred.

Nice to Have

• SAP functional understanding across one or more areas (FI CO MM SD PP etc.).

• Experience in large consulting environments or global enterprise programs.

• PMP PRINCE2 Scrum Master or SAP Activate certification.
