Job Title: Truck Jockey / Forklift Driver

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable safety-focused Truck Jockey / Forklift Driver to join our this role you will be responsible for efficiently moving trailers in the yard supporting shipping and receiving operations and handling materials using a forklift. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Safely move spot and organize trailers within the yard.
Perform daily inspections of yard tractors and equipment.
Load unload and transport materials using a forklift (counterbalance propane electric etc.).
Support shipping and receiving with trailer placement and material movement.
Maintain accurate records and communicate trailer locations to dispatch or warehouse teams.
Follow all safety policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or yard environment.
Previous truck jockey/yard switcher experience is an asset.
Strong awareness of safety and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
