Job Summary

The Clinical Lead acts as a backup when the Supervisor is out of office. This position manages supplies and medication expirations and coordinates with Supervisor on ordering supplies. The Clinical Lead assists with training new hires. This position acts as a resource to staff members and helps with project work. The Clinical Lead covers a weeklong on call schedule made by the manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes normal day to day work responsibilities to ensure work is completed by shift end.
  • Manages and organizes supplies for clinical staff. Properly disposes of expired medications and regularly checks expiration dates. Ensures organization so staff can easily access supplies.
  • Collaborates with Supervisor to order supplies and identify Support Center supply needs.
  • Completes weekly maintenance log on all machines and eye wash station.
  • Assists new employees with new hire checklists and training. May train new staff members on COPC policies and procedures.
  • Ensures clerical and clinical materials are up to date and replaces when necessary.
  • Acts as an area expert for new office/clinical equipment and new procedures.
  • Requires the ability to work as a PSR when needed. Stay up to date on EPIC changes and upgrades.

Education Licensures & Certifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or Licensed Practical nurse program

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • 1 year of experience at COPC preferred.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Records system
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceuticals.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to work on a team and display a positive attitude.
  • Ability to lead by example.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to a changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills.
  • High functioning team skills including active listening and team building.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to travel to different locations at least 1-2 times a week.
