The Operations Team at Lares within the RGA Platform is looking to recruit an Operations & Maintenance Supervisor for the Lares Power Plant.

What you will do:

  • Supervise plant operations and the respective shift team in accordance with established techniques procedures and received guidelines identifying proposing and collaborating in the implementation of improvement actions as well as first-line corrective and planned maintenance activities ensuring the optimization of equipment performance and compliance with the established safety and environmental performance levels for the facility.
  • Collaborate with the energy management area ensuring operational interfaces with the Market Operator and the System Operator identifying equipment constraints or capabilities that contribute to the definition and execution of a production plan that maximizes market revenues and minimizes energy deviations.
  • Coordinate the management of lockout/tagout and release processes in accordance with the most appropriate plan to ensure equipment availability for maintenance and operational purposes.

What are we looking for:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Other fields of education may be considered provided that candidates demonstrate knowledge of electric power generation processes in thermal power plants.
  • Other fields of study may be accepted provided the candidate demonstrates knowledge of electric power generation processes in thermal power plants.
  • More than 4 years of professional experience in a senior role within the relevant field of education.
  • Experience in the functional coordination of teams and in ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety environmental and quality policies is valued.
  • Skills in System and Equipment Analysis and Problem-Solving Techniques are mandatory; knowledge of electromechanical systems and thermodynamics is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in the English language is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools is required.
  • Problem-solving ability collaboration networking and personal development are key competencies we value.
  • Knowledge of SAP is desirable.
  • Position subject to shift work with rotating days off.
  • Driving license required.
