IT Delivery Manager

Our client is a mid-sized IT outsourcing firm dedicated to delivering services for the European market.

They are searching for a compassionate and worldly IT Delivery Manager to define and grow their delivery org spearhead the execution of their clients technology projects and ensure a positive ongoing experience with the firm.

In this role you will work closely with business stakeholders product owners PMs and technical teams to ensure IT initiatives are delivered on time within scope and aligned with business objectives. You will also be expected to hire train and mentor new team members as needed - and cooperate closely with the sales team on identifying new areas of opportunity.

Expats are welcome to apply. However a minimum of 1 year working experience in Vietnam is REQUIRED without exceptions.

Previous experience with clients and delivery programs in European/Western countries is also REQUIRED.

Fluency or near-fluency in English is REQUIRED.

This role is based onsite in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam - and not open to candidates working remotely from other locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and define roles & responsibilities for new delivery teams from the ground up (including recruitment onboarding training performance management etc).
• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects and programs from initiation through deployment and post-implementation support.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to define requirements delivery timelines and success metrics.
• Manage project plans budgets risks dependencies and resource allocation across multiple initiatives.
• Establish and maintain delivery governance reporting structures and escalation processes.
• Track project performance and provide clear regular status updates to senior leadership.
• Proactively identify delivery risks and implement mitigation plans to avoid delays or cost overruns.
• Help support business development and pre-sale activities within a client services or delivery context.
• Ensure adherence to agreed delivery methodologies such as Agile Waterfall or hybrid models.
• Support change management release planning and user acceptance testing activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes tools and ways of working.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 1 year of verifiable employment experience in Vietnam.

• Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience as an IT delivery manager or in related roles.
• Extensive experience handling European/Western clients including but not limited to knowledge of market-specific requirements compliance standards and general business expectations.
• Previous experience building structuring and leading new technology delivery teams.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and infrastructure delivery models.

• Experience working with Agile Scrum Waterfall and hybrid delivery frameworks.

• Fluency or near fluency in English is required.

• Bachelors degree in information technology computer science business or a related field is preferred.
