For our office in Heusenstamm we are looking for a Product Development Engineer (m/f/d) to join us at the earliest possible date. You will enjoy the flexibility of choosing your workspace between our locations in Heusenstamm Oberursel and Mittelheim.

Product Development Engineer (m/f/d)

Key responsibilities:

• Product development of plastic components for pitched and flat roofs

• Collaboration in cross-departmental project teams and ensuring project goals are met

• Validation of new materials products and manufacturing processes

• Execution of risk analyses

• Technical responsibility for the product portfolio revisions and further developments

• Creation of the necessary documentation and ensuring conformity with laws and standards

• Support of the production plants and their quality departments

• Collaboration with external certification bodies institutes and suppliers

• Monitoring of general technical trends as well as the activities of the competition; execution of technical benchmarks

Profile:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or a related field

• Comprehensive knowledge of plastic materials properties and processing technologies such as injection molding extrusion and thermoforming

• Expertise in designing plastic parts taking into account material-specific requirements and manufacturing processes

• Proficiency in 3D CAD design for plastic components

• Strong technical understanding of general production processes and post-processing technologies

• Proven experience in managing development projects

• Analytical problem-solving skills combined with a structured and independent work style

• Team player with excellent communication skills and a high sense of responsibility

• Proficiency in English and German (written and spoken)

• Valid EU drivers license and willingness to travel regularly to our Mittelheim plant
