Are you an innovative researcher with a passion for emulsions preparation and a keen interest in polymer chemistry At Nouryon we are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our team as a full-time Researcher in this role you will conduct experimental work in the lab and explore new innovations for our peroxide emulsions used in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) applications.

About Nouryon Polymer Specialties

Nouryon Polymer Specialties is the worlds leading producer of organic peroxides metal alkyls and organometallic specialtiesessential components for the polymer industry. As sustainability becomes increasingly vital we are dedicated to discovering innovative ways to create a greener future. Our efforts include developing sustainable solutions for our products and their applications in polymer manufacturing.

As a Researcher you will be an expert in colloidal and/or polymer chemistry driving new developments for Nouryon. You will be exploring and develop new peroxide emulsions that are applied in the suspension polymerization of PVC.

In your future role as Researcher you will:

Generating and validating new ideas for R&D projects aligned with market trends.
Conducting experiments yourself to develop these ideas into commercial products or solutions.
Collaborating with a team to ensure the success of projects with the opportunity to manage your own R&D initiatives.
Collaborating with Technology group and global Nouryon peroxide production sites

We believe you bring:

At least 1-3 years of experience in emulsion preparation research; additional experience in organic and/or polymer chemistry is a plus.
A MSc or PhD in applied Colloidal Chemistry and/or Organic/Polymer Chemistry or a related scientific field with a strong interest in emulsions preparation.
A hands-on mentality
A collaborative spirit ready to tackle challenges with your colleagues.
Creativity flexibility and excellent communication skills in English.

Great if you have:

A solid background in colloidal chemistry related to polymer chemistry or emulsions/suspension preparations.
Experience in project management is advantageous.
A strong desire to conduct experiments and explore new areas within the field of emulsions.
