No long term care nurses. Most recent 3 assignments - must be acute care MS in medium to large organizations. Floating to other MS unit is requrired 32 bed fast paced unit. Patient Age Groups: Adults Geriatric Outpatient Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Total knee replacement Total hip replacement Total ankle replacement Total shoulder replacement fracture repair spine surgeries including XLIF ALIF TDLF ACDF PCDF microdisc lamis. Common Medications used on the unit: Pain medication Antibiotics Anticoagulants Home medications Antiemetics steroids. Common Equipment: Ice wraps Polar coolers May float to other Med/Surg areas - varies on surgical schedule Line Management/Skills: Required: IV Insertion Preferred: PICC/Central Line Management Ortho/MS/Onc Skills: Preferred: Traction CPM Epidural/PCA pumps Feeding Tubes Wound Vac Cardiac: Preferred: Remote Tele Tele Interpretation Airway Skills: Preferred: CPAP/BiPAP
