Job Summary

3 months contract with local authority

The role is pivotal in ensuring that all parking enforcement road markings and associated signage are maintained to a high standard in compliance with Traffic Management Orders and relevant legislation. The position involves inspecting on-street infrastructure managing and monitoring contractors and maintenance teams supervising work programs and providing professional advice and reports to support effective parking enforcement across the Borough.

Responsibilities:

Ensure parking enforcement road markings and signage meet high standards and comply with relevant legislation.
Inspect on-street infrastructure regularly.
Manage and monitor contractors and maintenance teams.
Supervise work programs related to parking enforcement.
Provide professional advice and reports to enhance parking enforcement effectiveness.

Requirements

Requirements:

Strong understanding of parking legislation including the Road Traffic Act and TSRGD.
Ability to interpret Traffic Management Orders maps and digital mapping systems.
Experience in conducting on-street inspections in various weather conditions.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize workload under pressure and make sound decisions.
Possession of a full clean manual driving license.

Required Skills:

Requirements: Proven experience in conducting tree surveys Certification as an arborist In-depth knowledge of arboriculture practices and standards
