About the role
We are about to see the biggest changes to waste and recycling which will impact our 80000 households in West Suffolk and also all of our businesses. Under the governments Better Recycling policy new collections will be introduced to include weekly food waste dry recycling and changes to separating commercial waste.
We are looking for two Customer Service Assistants to join our busy team helping West Suffolk Council to support our customers and communities with the changes to our waste collections.
You will work as part of the Customer Services Team to provide frontline support to our customers focusing on Better Recycling queries using a range of channels including phone calls emails social media and e-forms. Ideally you will have a good working knowledge of local government services such as housing waste planning and licensing though applications are welcomed from individuals who are willing to learn new services and systems.
What you will need
You will preferably have recent experience of working in a customer-focussed role. You will have excellent attention to detail be an effective communicator and enjoy working at a fast pace. We are looking for someone who responds positively to change and can make a difference to our customers.
