Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager to support nuclear projects in Richland Washington. This position is posted at multiple levels. See below for a breakdown of the Project Manager I Project Manager II and Senior Project Manager responsibilities and qualifications.
The Project Manager manages project activities for refueling outages forced outages and on-line work as assigned providing oversight of staff involved in planning leading controlling and monitoring to ensure work is implemented safely with quality on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of project implementation including budget work package preparation parts procurement ALARA planning industrial and nuclear safety clearance order preparation work prioritization resource loading risk management and work execution.
- Develop budgets including tracking cost versus budget for assigned projects.
- Develop and manage contracts and interface with vendors.
- Develop project schedules commensurate with project complexity and size.
- Resolve schedule delays and conflicts.
- Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups including senior management.
- Develop and maintain long range plan strategies associated with assigned projects.
Role Level Distinctions
Project Manager I
- Manages projects and programs with minimal oversight and direction required.
- Leads project teams of five to ten people.
- Considered proficient in all aspects of project management.
- PMP certification desired but not required.
Project Manager II
- Manages projects and programs independently.
- Typically assigned complex multidiscipline projects and programs.
- Typically manages projects less than $10M.
- Leads project teams greater than ten people.
- Coaches and mentors other project managers and acts for supervisor/manager when required.
- PMP certification required (active).
Senior Project Manager
- Manages projects and programs independently with total cost typically greater than $10M.
- Assigned the most complex projects involving the highest risk and highest financial investment.
- Leads large multidiscipline and multi-organization project teams.
- Considered expert and achieved career excellence in project management.
- Mentors other less experienced project managers.
- PMP certification required (active).
- RO/SRO License or CGS Management Certification required.
Required Education and Experience
- Required education and experience combinations are defined by level and include combinations of degree type and years of experience in a technical field as outlined in the role descriptions.

- Green Badge Level 2: must complete ePHQ full background screen FFD testing; access to buildings and plant areas as authorized
