Overview

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will join the Engineering Management practice of the Technical Professional Organization (TPO) within Engineering Services Canada. The position will play a leadership role in the delivery of Engineering Services on large and complex projects within the Defence market portfolio. The incumbent will collaborate extensively with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to assess and interpret infrastructure requirements.

Your role

Reporting to the Director of Operations of the Engineering Management practice the Senior Infrastructure Engineer leads the design development and oversight of critical infrastructure systems supporting Canadas defence operations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the resilience security and performance of infrastructure supporting military and defence technologies.

• Lead the development of infrastructure strategies / pursuits aligned with defence objectives including facilities networks and operational support systems.

• Provide expert guidance on engineering standards risk assessments and lifecycle management of infrastructure assets.

• Manage large-scale infrastructure projects including design procurement implementation and commissioning.

• Ensure all infrastructure complies with Canadian defence regulations cybersecurity standards and environmental policies.

• Drive modernization initiatives including smart infrastructure digital twins and sustainable engineering practices.

• Liaise with the Department of National Defence (DND) Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) contractors and other government agencies.

• Work closely with our Market leaders to grow AtkinsRéalis Canadas portfolio within the Defence market

• Understanding the market requirements and leading the team to grow the engineering capabilities to support the market growth.

• Evaluate business opportunities in collaboration with the various Market Leads and participate in business development activities.

• Lead or collaborate in the preparation and/or review of proposals in conjunction with the Market and the Proposal Management Team.

About you

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Electrical Mechanical or Systems Engineering.

• 15 years of experience in infrastructure engineering with at least 10 years in a defence or government context.

• Professional Engineer (.) designation in Canada.

• Deep understanding of defence infrastructure requirements including secure facilities communications systems and operational readiness.

• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g. PMP) is an asset.

• Security clearance (or eligibility) at the Secret level or higher.

• Familiarity with NATO STANAGs Canadian defence procurement processes and DND infrastructure frameworks.

• Strong leadership communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience with digital infrastructure tools (e.g. BIM GIS SCADA).

*This position requires knowledge of a language other than French namely English as the deliverables are intended for audiences located elsewhere in Canada or internationally.

*Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $ 125 000 à 171 900 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills experience and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
