Maintenance Technician Grottoes VA Hiring Immediately
Compensation
- Starting pay rate is a $31.09- paid weekly!
- Eligible for annual & skill-based wage increases
- Eligible for monthly bonus based upon plant productivity*
Available Shift
- 7:00A AM-7:00 PM/7:00 PM-7:00 AM (2x2x3)(will rotate quarterly from days to nights)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all assigned Electrical duties safely and cost-effectively.
- Execute Work orders minimize downtime by providing fast accurate troubleshooting repair inspection maintenance service calibration installation and configuration for related manufacturing and production equipment.
- Communicate effectively with employees supervisors and managers.
- Maintain necessary records and documents of work performed.
- Troubleshoot PLC hardware
- Operate electrical test equipment and interpret results
- Read understand and make use of associated drawings schematics diagrams etc.
- Prepare accurate documentation.
- Understand interpret and apply the National Electrical Code - NEC
- Plan organize and prioritize work activities and duties
- Multitask and work under pressure
- Work flexible hours
EQUIPMENT
AC & DC motors; motor controls; VFDs; electrical distribution (480vac or less); PLCs; pneumatics; hydraulics; extruders; winders; packing and box machinery; slitters; center-folders; grinders; shredders; chillers; heat exchangers; conveyors; and air compressors.
Qualifications
- 1 year experience as an Industrial/Manufacturing Maintenance Electrician or 2 years trade/technical school in a related field or 4 years Industrial/Manufacturing experience with electrical knowledge skills and abilities.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Work alone with a skilled tradesperson or operations personnel.
- Work in a team environment.
- Work with limited supervision.
- Able to stand for long periods climb kneel squat and crawl.
- Lift and carry materials and equipment of up to 75 lbs.
- Work flexible hours and Overtime as needed.
- Electrical equipment and instrumentation or controls.
- AC & DC motors motor controls and MCCs.
- Electrical distribution and related equipment.
- AC variable frequency drives/DC variable speed drives.
- Programmable Logic Controllers and automated equipment.
- General Industrial or Manufacturing standards & practices including OSHA.
