Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: Staten Island NY 10314
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $30 $34 per hour
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality patient care within a skilled nursing facility. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse or qualified medical professional the CNA will support daily patient care activities observe and report patient conditions and collaborate with clinical and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe respectful and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene mobility and comfort needs
Change simple dressings and monitor patient conditions
Measure and record vital signs height weight temperature pulse and respiration
Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures as needed
Accurately document observations and care activities in patient records
Observe and report changes in patients physical condition mental status and social behavior
Participate in nursing and interdisciplinary care planning meetings
Support recreational remotivational and resocialization activities
Set up and maintain examination and treatment rooms
Assist with patient admissions and visitor coordination
Safeguard patients clothing and personal belongings
Assist with meal preparation and feeding when required
Change linens make beds and maintain cleanliness of patient care areas
Provide postmortem care in accordance with facility policies
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in a nursing home or skilled nursing facility
Strong observational communication and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Education Requirements
Graduate of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program
Certifications & Licensure (Required)
Active New York State CNA Certification (Primary Source Verification required)
Listed on the Nurse Aide Registry (Prometric)
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
