A Barista is responsible for providing Guests with food and drinks as requested in an efficient manner and according to proper procedure and bar regulations.

What will I be doing

As a Barista you will be responsible for providing Guests with food and drinks as requested in an efficient manner and according to proper procedure and bar regulations. Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Welcome guests and determine their coffee preferences
• Promote coffee consumption by educating customers
• Explain and present the coffee menu answering any questions
• Prepare and serve coffee drinks (e.g. espresso cappuccino) following recipes and techniques
• Maintain inventory by replenishing coffee beans brewing equipment and supplies
• Manage bar shifts efficiently ensuring compliance with standards and regulations
• Continuously gain knowledge in all areas of bar supervision
• Ensure timely service by delivering food and drinks to tables as requested
• Improve processes and enhance the appearance of the coffee bar
• Maintain equipment functionality through instructions troubleshooting and maintenance
• Ensure a safe and sanitary work environment following hygiene and safety regulations
• Show full awareness of food and drink menus and be ready to recommend items
• Comply with company health and safety regulations and fire procedures
• Maximize revenue through upselling exceptional customer service and training
• Demonstrate perfect knowledge of beverages and ensure staff are trained in preparation and presentation
• Generate new revenue by attracting customers and offering new services/products
• Stay updated on coffee industry trends and knowledge
• Take ownership of tasks and seek opportunities to improve
