Job Summary Cloud Engineer / Windows Server Admin
- Role Focus:
- 80% Cloud Engineering (AWS) 20% Windows Server Administration
- Remote work but equipment pickup required onsite
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain scalable cloud solutions using AWS
- Administer and provide support for Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
- Build full-stack cloud-native applications (front-end: React TypeScript; back-end: AWS Lambda DynamoDB)
- Develop and maintain cloud APIs using AWS API Gateway
- Implement and manage cloud networking (VPCs subnets security groups)
- Apply cloud security best practices (IAM compliance monitoring)
- Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation SAM Terraform)
- Script and automate tasks (Python PowerShell )
- Set up monitoring logging and alerting (CloudWatch CloudTrail)
- Optimize and maintain CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodeBuild CodeDeploy CodePipeline)
- Collaborate with teams to deliver robust user-focused cloud solutions
- Identify and drive process improvements and innovation
- Assist with research development and technology skill enhancement
- Required Skills/Experience:
- 10 years: Windows Server Administration ()
- 5 years: AWS Cloud Platform (intermediate proficiency)
- 5 years: Full-stack web app development (React TypeScript AWS Lambda/NoSQL)
- 8 years: Scripting (Python PowerShell )
- 5 years: DevOps CI/CD version control (Git)
- Analytical problem-solving and strong communication skills
- Experience in on-prem cloud and hybrid infrastructure
- Preferred/Additional Qualifications:
- Industry certifications (AWS Solutions Architect/Developer Associate Microsoft Server Engineer)
- Familiarity with SaaS environments
- Ability to prepare technical documentation and support users of varying skill levels
- Passion for continuous learning and staying current with tech trends
- Work Arrangement:
- Contract position
