MMUUSD is seeking an experienced visionary Director of Curriculum to lead districtwide curriculum instruction assessment and professional learning. This leadership role works collaboratively across all schools to ensure high-quality standards-based proficiency-based and innovative learning experiences for all students.
The Director of Curriculum:
- Leads the design selection development and evaluation of curriculum assessment and instructional programs across PK12.
- Guides long-range planning for curriculum instruction assessment and professional learning.
- Drives continuous improvement efforts and the development of innovative academic programs.
- Supports educational technology integration to enhance and transform teaching and learning.
- Collaboratively leads elementary middle and secondary system transformation initiatives.
- Oversees programs including (but not limited to) Title I Spanish Immersion Program prevention student wellness teacher mentoring instructional leadership teams and Title II-A professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Education or a related field plus 35 years of relevant K12 curriculum leadership experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Demonstrated expertise in: differentiated instruction formative assessment standards-based curriculum and assessment supportive learning environments technology integration and development of 21st-century skills.
- Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
- Valid Vermont Professional Educator License with the Curriculum Director endorsement and Administrative endorsement.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
- Prior Principal experience preferred.
