Job Summary

The Systems Administrator Level 1 role is an entry-level position responsible for performing routine system administration tasks troubleshooting technical issues and supporting the operational stability of enterprise systems. This role focuses on learning and applying best practices for system maintenance security and performance within the Service and work management team.

This entry-level role focuses on incident handling routine maintenance and basic configuration tasks while collaborating with senior administrators and engineers for escalations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Support:
    • Handle Level 1 tickets for SWM applications (Jira Confluence Helix ADO).
    • Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate complex issues to Level 2/3 teams.
  • System Maintenance:
    • Execute routine health checks backups and monitoring for SWM platforms.
    • Assist in scheduled upgrades and patching activities under supervision.
  • User & Access Management:
    • Manage user accounts permissions and roles in collaboration tools.
    • Validate access requests and ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain SOPs ticket logs and update knowledge articles for common issues.
    • Support reporting on incident trends and SLA adherence.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the SWM team scrum masters and system engineers for operational tasks.
    • Participate in daily standups and provide updates on assigned tickets.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic knowledge of ITIL processes incident management and service desk tools.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira Confluence) and ITSM platforms like Helix and cloud platforms Microsoft Azure
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware/software issues.
  • Effective communication and documentation abilities.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 02 years in IT support or systems administration; exposure to enterprise applications preferred.
