Job Overview
You support the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System.
You provide medical record coding and Release of Information services.
You follow VA VHA CMS and HIPAA standards.

Key Responsibilities
Medical Records Coding
Code inpatient and outpatient medical records
Apply ICD-10-CM ICD-10-PCS and CPT guidelines
Meet accuracy and productivity standards
Reduce coding backlogs

Release of Information
Process medical record release requests
Ensure privacy and HIPAA compliance
Retrieve review and disclose records on time

Qualifications
Experience as a Medical Record Technician
Coding credentials preferred. CPC CCS or CCS-P
Knowledge of VA or large health system workflows
Strong attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines and quality standards
Eligible for VA background and system access
