Rebate Analyst

Job Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is to establish the standard methodology rebates computation (of multiples line cards) which require an in-depth understanding on the rebates incentive program agreement as well as providing analytical support and Rebate accrual proposal

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to validate and reconcile vendor rebate accrual against actual rebate receipt for the purpose of reduce incidence of rebate leakages to ensure the company maximize the rebate that will drive the company profitability. Understand the rebate plan/ program and able to compute the rebate computation based on monthly basis (25%)

• Propose and posting of rebate receivable accrual upon approval granted by Country Finance on a monthly basis (20%)

• Manage day-to-day operation by reviewing rebate accounting entry to ensure no odd or incorrect rebate income being recognized; and monitor the aging of rebate receivable account to ensure no leakage and delay of payment. Perform vendor details report reconciliation against rebates computation to minimize the leakage (10%)

• Monitor rebate receivable accrual >90days to ensure no outstanding and to seek extension approval for exception (10%)

• Prepare monthly rebate computation and process rebate accrual journal to reflect the income into the correct accounting period and ensure proper MJE document in place to meet company SOX requirement. Ensure posting has been done with proper documentation per MJE to meet SOX control purposes & statutory audit (10%)

• Connect / liaise with business and vendor to build relationship in obtaining supports and timely information. (10%)

• Update the changes of rebates program/ agreement and reflect the changes into rebate methodology timely to ensure the correctness in the rebate computation (5%)

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

• 3 to 5 Years of relevant work experience.

• Bachelors Degree with Finance and Accounting Field of Study preferred.

• Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
