Generator Technician I

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Perform inspections maintenance and repairs on generators ATS and related components
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques
• Read and interpret service manuals schematics and wiring diagrams
• Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records
• Adhere to all safety standards and company policies
• Strong mechanical aptitude electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must own basic industrial tools (hand tools torque wrenches multimeters)
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Professionalism and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualification(s)

• Minimum 2 years of experience in generator repair or related field
• Technical training or military equivalent preferred

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical training or military equivalent preferred

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Pass pre-employment background check physical exam and drug screen
• Lift up to 5080 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand bend and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

Work Environment

• Primarily shop-based work with occasional field support. Exposure to noise dust and industrial equipment.
• PPE required at all times.
• Occasional overtime will be required sometimes with short notice.
