This role of the Outpatient Services Mental Health Department Manager will report directly to the outpatient services Executive Director and work concurrently with the Substance use Clinical Manager to ensure that all dual diagnosis clients receive the proper therapeutic services. As a true dual-diagnosis treatment facility our clients are able to receive both their substance use services as well as mental health therapies concurrently and/or exclusively throughout their outpatient enrollment. As a preferred treatment provider the Orenda Center of Wellnesss approach is always the whole life ideal ensuring that each of our clients receives the specifically tailored treatment program that addresses their unique needs meeting them where they are at.
This role will be responsible for a cross spectrum of managerial / therapeutic and clinical duties that will range from but not limited to conducting individual group and/or family sessions facilitating mental health groups and/or individual sessions completing mental health clinical assessments maintaining a caseload of 12 to 16 active clients the reviewing and signing of all OMHC clinical documentation for department staff the collection of weekly and quarterly department data for compliance reporting and documenting all group & sessions in our EMR system within the 48-hour time frame deadlines. The therapist should be comfortable working with dual-diagnosis clients ranging from adolescents to adults all who may have history of trauma and/or PTSD. Qualified candidates must be skilled at personal time management as well as able to prioritize their daily workload alongside unexpected crisis intervention needs. Quick calm responses and a cool head during a crisis is an indispensable skill for this position to -escalation and crisis response training is preferred but not required for this role. The daily oversight management and support of the onsite and remote mental health therapist will be a main function of this position. Management experience in a behavioral health settle along with clinical program experience is preferable.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling and/or Social Work.
- Appropriate Maryland state licensing such asLCPC LCSW
- C level Therapist with Supervision status preferred.
- Working knowledge of ASAM criteria & SUD diagnosis in a dualdiagnosis setting
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience working in the field of addiction treatment and/or mental health counseling as a licensed provider
- Experience facilitating therapeutic group and individual sessions.
- Experience managing a team of therapists and overseeing multiple caseloads.
- Understanding of treatment planning clinical notations dual diagnosis charting and interventional skills
- Ability to maintain a case load of 15 or more clients at a time while managing department responsibilities.
- Ability to pass local & federal background checks along with being able to clear a full panel drug screening.
- Ability to handle crisis intervention with strong de-escalation skills.
- Adaptability and motivation to improve clients lives are indispensable.
- CPR/First Aid Certified
Position Offering:
- competitive starting salary ----Range$78000 to $90000 annually Salary
- Based upon Licensure and Experience
- Monday thru Friday in office work week
- Work schedule hours & days flexibility available
