We are seeking a Structural/Bridge Engineering Specialist to support transportation infrastructure projects in our Charlotte NC office. These projects may include new construction as well as additions and renovations to existing facilities.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for structural engineering a drive to develop innovative and economical design solutions and a desire to grow professionally. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality code-compliant designs that meet project goals and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design in accordance with applicable building codes and project requirements.
Prepare clear concise and well-organized engineering calculations and technical documentation.
Assist in the development of construction drawings and technical details.
Participate in project meetings and coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines.
Review contractor Requests for Information (RFIs) and shop drawings.
Conduct fieldwork including site visits and structural observations.
Contribute to a collaborative knowledge-sharing and mentorship-focused work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in civil engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering (required).
Working knowledge of structural design and analysis tools (e.g. MicroStation AutoCAD OpenRoads Civil3D SAP2000 LEAP LARSA 4D)
Strong communication and time management skills
EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
Internship or experience in bridge design

Compensation Range:
