Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Power Distribution & Electrical System Designs for Process/Industrial Facilities
- Specifications and Data Sheets (Transformers Switchgear Motors UPS etc.)
- Vendor Inquiries Bid Evaluations and Shop Drawing Reviews
- Power System Analysis and Relay Coordination
- Area Classification and Electrical Code Assessments
- Construction Labor/Material Cost Estimates and Project Schedules
- Programming/Set points (VFDs Relay Protection Etc.) and Field Support
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in designing electrical distribution/control systems and performing power system calculations
- High Voltage Substation Design (up to 345 kV) experience preferred
- Subsurface and overhead transmission line design experience preferred
- Project lead experience developing engineering schedules budgets and forecasts
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including MS Project
- AutoCAD and 3-D CAD experience a plus
- Electrical design tools and calculations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in teams and to present a positive image to clients
Education/Certification Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
- Advanced degree a plus
- FE certification desired PE certification a plus
