Registered Nurse RN
Position Purpose:
The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) at Mount Carmel St. Anns has 30 beds with space to accommodate between 6-9 progressive care patients. The Registered Nurse could expect to see patients related to NSTEMI and post STEMI/cardiac arrest post-cardiaccathand acute coronary syndrome AAA repair atrial fibrillation amputations and femoral-popliteal bypass. The RN will also care for patientsindiabetic ketoacidosis and acute respiratory failure onBipaporAirVo. This unit offers a strong welcoming teamwork environment. TheRegistered Nurse RN within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each persons physical emotionalsocialand spiritual needs.The Registered NurseRNcollaborates in the spirit ofteamworkis accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards policies procedures and guidelines of the Organization.
What you will do:
Provides nursing care ensures an environment of patient safety promotes evidence-based practice and qualityinitiativesandexhibitsprofessionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program.
Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients utilizingevidence basedpractice. Collaborates withpatientand family to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physicalspiritualand educational components.
Accurately communicates pertinent information toappropriate teammembersin a timely manner. Keeps patient/family apprised/updated.
Documents accurately and completelypertinentassessmentsinterventionsand outcomes for patientsin accordance withdocumentation standards policiesproceduresand/or guidelines.
Assumes responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed care givers asappropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from school of nursing.
Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
For CasualRNs2 years of experience is.
All new graduate nurses with less than one (1) year of clinical experience are subject toparticipateand will be automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
