PPM Consultants Inc. an Environmental Consulting Firm is seeking an Environmental Technician for part-time work.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

Ability to provide competent and quick service to Project Team
Ability to follow specific instructions
Ability to communicate in a positive manner
Ability to provide detailed accurate field notes
Collection of air/water/soil/sediment samples
Collection of pertinent data necessary for evaluating various environmental media
Performing routine operation and maintenance of remediation systems
Troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues with remediation equipment
Oversight of subcontractors for grounds upkeep
Occasionally providing outreach materials as requested for the local community.

Requirements

The position requires a strong work ethic and great attention to detail. Candidates should be mechanically inclined and possess the ability to utilize various tools to work on machinery. Candidates must have the ability to work safely and effectively either alone or within a Project Team.

All work will be conducted in Monroe LA and PPM can guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week. Some weeks may require up to 40 hours; however PPMs Monroe team is well-staffed and flexible and can assist and accommodate as needed.

Prior experience as an Environmental Technician and a current 40-hour HAZWOPER Certificate is preferred but is not required. Trustworthiness and being mechanically-inclined are the two most important required attributes for this position.

Successful candidate should have a high school degree or GED a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Pay per hour is negotiable.
